Exciting! TLC will be showing a new season of Who Do You Think You Are? starting next month. The premier is scheduled for the night of Sunday, March 5, at 10/9c. According to the announcement at Eastman’s Online Genealogy Newsletter, citing TLC, the celebrities in this season include:

- Courteney Cox
- Jennifer Grey
- Smokey Robinson
- John Stamos
- Liv Tyler
- Noah Wyle
I have to admit that I generally prefer the format of Finding Your Roots where a genealogist presents the celebrity with information rather than the illusion that a celebrity can easily go to a few locations and find out their most interesting family details. That said, I appreciate seeing how the celebrities are touched by their family stories, seeing visits to archives, and I hope that the public can continue to be inspired by the stories they see here to then learn about their own families.
